Thank you for electing to donate to Environmental Stewardship through our secure PayPal account. Our efforts to protect the rural character of the Lost Pines Region and the environment of the lower Colorado River basin depend on donations from our supporting stewards and grants.
If you wish to make a donation that is restricted to one of our programs, please select from the list below and send us a message to indicate your desired program. Unless otherwise specified, all donations are “unrestricted” and will be used as needed to accomplish our mission.
Projects & Initiatives:
Public Policy – Supporting our ongoing efforts to protect the aquifers, rivers, streams and springs of our region through public policy advocacy activities. Currently these activities include participation in the groundwater and surface water protection initiatives involving the permitting of groundwater pumping in the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District.
Science & Ecology – We are seeking funds to enable groundwater and surface water studies that are aimed at better managing the water resources of the region.
Habitat Protection & Restoration – We are seeking donations to purchase equipment, native plants, and seeds to support the trail building & maintenance and habitat restoration activities directed by Dale Morrison. Volunteers include the Texas Master Naturalists, Bastrop Juvenile Services, and many others. These projects include the Lost Pines Nature Trails, Piney Creek crossing at Riverwood Drive, Bastrop Springs, and trails linking to the Bastrop Industrial Park.
Unrestricted – These donated funds are always greatly appreciated as they provide flexibility in funding the above projects and enable the general operations as needed.
