"Wilbarger" Paddling Trail Launch & Ribbon Cutting

El Camino Real Float Trips
9:00 am – 3:00 pm $20 per person
Kayak or canoe the 6 miles from Fisherman’s Park to the Lost Pines NatureTrails
take-out point near Tahitian Village.
Includes shuttle service back to NatureFest.

Launch Your Own Kayak or Canoe
Bob Bryant Park
Bringing your own canoe or kayak?
We recommend that you launch at Bryant Park and float the short 15-20 minutes
to NatureFest at Fisherman’s Park.
Pull out and enjoy the event then float the rest of the El Camino Real Trail.
Arrange for a shuttle back to Bryant Park from the Tahitian take-out point ($10 per person).

Launching at Fisherman’s Park will be limited due to pedestrian traffic in the park.

Newbie’s Float Trips
9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Free for Kids accompanied by Parent(s)
First time kayakers can get acquainted with kayaking and the river under the leadership of Campfire USA instructors.
After an introduction to paddling and river safety,
kids and parents will be shuttled to Bob Bryant Park where they will be guided on a short 15-20 minute float back to Fisherman’s park.

Fishing Clinic
10:00 am – 3:00 pm    Free

TPW fishing clinic will teach boys and girls the
art of casting, knot-tying, bait selection, and habitat.
Prizes will be given throughout the day.
Equipment provided for clinic.

Archery
10:00 am – 4:00 pm    Free

Learn the skills of archery under the guidance
of TPW volunteers

Walks in the Woods
Take a nature walk with
Texas Master Naturalists,
and Audubon bird watchers

Live Animals
Snakes, lizards, alligators
